Skills:
Duration:
5 days

This course was aimed at anyone who was interested in behaviour change; from researchers, practitioners, intervention designers, managers and policy makers. Participants were introduced to the principles of behaviour change and how these can be applied to practical problems. Through a combination of presentation, discussion and small group exercises, participants learnt how to make a problem behaviourally specific, identify influences on behaviour to target in an intervention, develop a behaviour change intervention and plan for implementation. By completing the applied principles & practice course participants gained: - a greater understanding of the possibilities for applying behaviour change interventions to your own situation - a practical framework for developing and implementing these interventions in your area of interest.
